Bill Henderson Interview on The Cancer Odyssey

How to Live Cancer Free – “The Cancer Odyssey” by Margaret Bermel Bill Henderson interviews Margaret Bermel about her new book called “The Cancer Odyssey.” Margaret researched cancer treatment optons and found that chemotherapy is a complete fraud perpetrated on the public by Big Pharma. She refused it and healed her ovarian cancer using natural means. Bill also talks about Dr. John Holt of Perth, Australia, who healed thousands of cancer patients in the 40 years before he retired in 2004. The technique he perfected using microwave radiation is still being used by the Radiowave Clinic in Perth. Bill also talks about new DVD called “Cancer Is Curable NOW.” It is a documentary compiled from interviews with 31 cancer healing experts. http://webtalkradio.net/2011/05/16/how-to-live-cancer-free-%E2%80%93-the-cancer-odyssey-by-margaret-bermel/

Intention

Excerpt from "The Cancer Odyssey: Discovering Truth and Inspiration on the Way to Wellness"

"These vignettes are an expression of my personal experience. I am not a professional researcher or a medical professional.  The intention is to be thought-provoking, to encourage people to research and educate themselves prior to accepting the "standard of care" treatment.  I believe that every person is ultimately responsible for their own health care decisions.  It is your decision whether or not you will “just say no to chemo.”
My catalyst was the fact that I was almost sentenced to death by chemo.  The Cancer Industry is ‘in too deep’ to admit that they are wrong; they continue to perpetuate the myth, and they continue to harm and kill hundreds of thousands of Americans every year with ineffective, experimental, and expensive “treatments.”
Chemotherapy can cause other cancers.  This is something that people are not told unless they ask.  I asked. The oncologist confirmed it.  When I tell people this, they are shocked.  I have since read, in "Beating Cancer with Nutrition" written by the former nutrition director at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, that the risk of chemo causing leukemia in ovarian cancer patients far outweighs any possible benefit.1  Do ovarian cancer patients know that they are
trading one form of cancer for another when they sign up for chemotherapy?  Probably not.
When the oncologist recommends "precautionary chemo," and says that, with chemo you have a 30% chance of recurrence, and if it does recur, you probably will not survive five (5) years, and if you don't have chemo, then the chance of recurrence is higher, then that is the time to start asking questions.
“How much higher?”, I asked.
“Higher.”
“Yes, but how much higher?”
“Higher.”
I could not understand why I wasn't getting a straight answer.  That statistic should have been at the tip of the tongue.  The reason it wasn't at the tip of the tongue is because that statistic simply does not exist.  It is not known if that number is actually higher, OR maybe it is actually lower! When you are in that position, you are VERY vulnerable, as I was.  I had my ‘meltdown’ when I went for a consultation at a center that markets itself as “a place for hope.”  I walked in feeling hopeful and walked out feeling hopeless.  In the evening after I was handed my death sentence there, I very fortuitously met an ancillary staff person who told me how the cancer statistics are compiled by SEER: that the ‘current’ statistics are almost five (5) years old and that there is no control group, making the statistics essentially meaningless to any individual.  He told me not to believe the statistics.  When I received a similar dire prognosis and the same medical recommendation for “precautionary chemotherapy” in another oncologist’s office, the nurse told me that I didn’t need chemo.  I was puzzled that I was being told to disregard the doctors’ recommendation by these honest people, but this felt like truth, and it empowered me.
Ask questions.  Ask to see the statistics.  I did, and was brushed off.  Insist upon it.  Ask to see studies.  I did, and was told that there were no studies to support the recommended treatment for me.  Demand answers.
My intention is to raise enough reasonable doubt about the effectiveness of chemotherapy get people to pause, research, educate themselves, participate in their own health care, explore other options on their own, and then make an INFORMED decision, based upon truthful, factual information, and not on the skewed statistics presented by the pharmaceutical companies.  The first two (2) oncologists I saw were parroting drug salesmen's pitches.  The third oncologist was truthful, and said that it is not known whether or not it matters if people start chemo right after surgery, or if they wait six (6) months.  It is just not known.
There is no urgency.  People do not have to rush into it.  People have time to think and educate themselves.
People have a right to know the truth, and they also have a right to choose non-toxic solutions.  Non-toxic solutions have been systematically suppressed by the FDA, and people need to start demanding alternatives.
It has been ingrained in all of us that a pill can solve all our problems.  That is western medicine; that is the American way.  Check it out, you have the time.  But most people do not check it out, especially if it is not a personal issue with them.  Even if it is a personal issue, most people do not check it out.  They have been brainwashed to believe in the myth of chemotherapy.
Every day, I thank God and my husband that I checked it out.  It is my intention to live.  This is truth.  Insist that it be told.  Ask questions and demand truthful answers.  Your life depends on it.  This is the only way to wellness."

Alternative Treatment Methods for Mesothelioma Patients

This is an article posted with permission of The Mesothelioma Center.

Alternative Treatment Methods for Mesothelioma Patients

Mesothelioma is a difficult cancer to treat. It does not always respond well to curative options, and the treatments that have the potential to shrink the tumors can cause their own set of complications. Most patients are elderly, making them poor candidates for certain

aggressive therapies. As a result, many patients turn to alternative treatment methods to either replace or enhance the traditional methods of mesothelioma treatment.

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine estimates that 38 percent of all adults use some form of non-conventional medicine. Some patients use alternative therapies as their sole method of mesothelioma treatment. Other patients use them as a complement to surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy. This approach is also known as integrative medicine.

Alternative mesothelioma therapies can range from simple breathing exercises to therapeutic massage or acupuncture. Each of these therapies can address a different set of mesothelioma symptoms. Many of these therapies are effective at relieving pain and anxiety. Others can reduce fatigue, insomnia, nausea or digestive distress. Patients often participate in several palliative therapies at the same time to manage their entire set of symptoms.

Symptom management is typically the primary focus of these alternative therapies. While some of them can stimulate the body’s natural cancer-fighting abilities, oncologists generally consider them palliative in nature. This means that they are not directly intended to cure pleural or peritoneal mesothelioma.

Because they are gentle, though, alternative treatments rarely put patients at risk for additional side effects. This makes them ideal for seniors who do not wish to add any complications to their already delicate condition. While they are safe for almost mesothelioma patients to practice, patients should always check with their oncologist before incorporating them into their treatment plan.

Common Alternative Care Options for Mesothelioma Patients

Mesothelioma patients can engage in a number of different alternative therapies. Some of the most common include:

• Massage therapy
• Acupuncture
• Aromatherapy
• Reflexology
• Homeopathy
• Nutritional counseling

Additional palliative therapies are especially appealing to seniors because the patient does not need to arrange treatment to or from a treatment center. Yoga, supplementation, juicing and visualization exercises are a few common palliative care options that patients can perform in the comfort of their own homes.
Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practitioners can help patients choose the therapies that are most beneficial for their disease. Because of alternative medicine’s rising popularity, many large hospitals – including several that are leaders in mesothelioma care – offer integrative medicine centers to help patients develop an appropriate CAM regimen for their condition.

Mesothelioma

This is an interesting website on mesothelioma, causes and treatments. What is interesting is that the site embraces alternative treatments, as well as the conventional treatments. It describes various treatments and presents choices; it is so important that people are educated as to ALL treatments, and can then choose their own individual course of action.
The Psychology of the Chemo Sales Pitch

I started wondering why people agree so readily to a toxic regimen that often leads to a painful and prolonged death.  How is it that oncologists are so good at talking people into suspending their usual logical approach to life's problems, and agreeing, without question, to go willingly to their deaths?  The answer, in my mind, is the very effective groundwork laid by the cancer industry, led of course by Big Pharma, that continuously brainwashes people into believing that chemo (or radiation) is their only hope against the "Big C."  The Big C, in my opinion, is not Cancer, but Chemo.  Chemo is the Big C to be scared of, not Cancer.  Cancer can be managed and overcome through natural, non-toxic approaches.  Chemo is not always survivable.  Just look at what it does to people externally.  We have been trained to overlook the hair loss and the physical ravages of chemo.  Chemo patients have been trained to be proud of their hairlessness and weight loss, because they are brave survivors.  We have all been trained to wear the ribbons, to walk for the cure.  The key to the Chemo Sales Pitch:  the cancer industry has tapped into that brave gene that we all have deep down.  The trained sales force appeals to the need of people to rally, to try to beat unbeatable odds, and to summon up the courage to "fight the good fight."  People, on some sub-conscious level, like to be thought of as martyrs.  The cancer industry stumbled upon a great motivator, the "fight-flight response," and coupling that with the "fear factor," they have found that most people, when confronted with their scary death "statistics," will choose to fight.
When I challenged one of several oncologists I consulted about the percentages of my survival that he bandied about, he had no answer.  When he recommended chemo, I asked him, "what else do you have?", his response was, "that's it.  If you don't do chemo, I don't treat you."  Hmmmm.  That is odd.  Why wouldn't he want to work with me to try to find something else, something non-toxic.  Isn't he concerned about ME, about my health?  When I met with his nutritionist, I asked what foods I should eat or avoid.  The response was, "just follow the food pyramid."  WHAT?????  Are you kidding me?  With that, I turned to my husband and said, "we are out of here."  My husband later remarked that the look on the oncologist's face reminded him of the disappointed look of a used car salesman who just lost a sale.  No wonder.  This oncologist did not count on me exercising my "flight" response.  I am not a martyr.  I am not going to fight the good fight.  The fight against chemo is a losing proposition.  The match is fixed before it starts.  There is no shot against chemo.  Professional athletes cannot survive chemo; how can ordinary people survive it?  I am scared of chemo.  It is toxic and it just does not work.  When my fight-flight response was activated, I chose flight, and I fled for my life.  Which, by the way, I still have.  Just say no to chemo.

The Predictable Death of David Rakoff

"Today" reports the news of David Rakoff, a humorist and author with a cynical viewpoint:

"Rakoff opened up about his diagnosis on "The Daily Show" in 2010, once he was undergoing chemotherapy for a malignant tumor. (This was his second go-around with the disease, having faced Hodgkin's disease, a form of lymphomia, when he was 22.) As he told host Jon Stewart at the time, 'When it turns out to be your own mortality on the line, people tend to be quite optimistic about their long-term chances for survival. The will to keep on going is incredibly strong.'"

Rakoff was cynical, but not cynical enough.  When will people become cynical about the "treatment" of chemo?  When will news reports start correctly reporting the cause of death?  Instead of writing that the person died of cancer, tell the truth and write that the person died of chemo.

Just say no to chemo.

The Predictable Death of Levon Helm

www.huffingtonpost.com
The Band singer Levon Helm is dead at age 71 after a long battle with cancer, the Times Herald-Record reports. He passed away April 19 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

There is nothing more to be said. If you go to Sloan-Kettering and subject yourself to the mustard gas "treatment" called chemotherapy, your chances for survival are abysmal. Two GM executives, Sloan and Kettering, founded the Cancer Center as a business venture, to MAKE A PROFIT. There is no altruism here, they did not care about anyone's cancer, they cared about the bottom line. The well-meaning medical people who entered the oncology profession may or may not know that they are simply the pawns of Big Pharma. They are agents of death.

It is upsetting that the cancer industry has claimed another rock icon. George Harrison, now Levon Helm. Who's next? When someone with celebrity status is diagnosed with cancer, the fear factor kicks in and they immediately want the best treatment that money can buy. Which, in the conventional world of medicine, is oncology at a cancer center. These rockers were counter-culture their entire lives; why are they now succumbing to mainstream medicine? Fear. Mainstream medicine, for cancer treatment, just DOES NOT WORK. How many more people, whether celebrity or ordinary, have to die to prove that point? What is everyone missing? Why don't people see that taking chemo results in death, not in restoration of health? Take the dead/alive survey: 1) how many people do you know who had cancer and took chemo and are dead? how many are alive? 2) how many people do you know who had cancer and did NOT take chemo and are dead? how many are alive? You can count me in the second group and I am in the alive category.

Wake up America. Your life depends on it.

The Predictable Death of Gary Carter

I blogged this Open Message to Gary Carter last June 1:
"Please tell Gary that if he does chemo, he will not survive. Chemo comes from mustard gas from the World Wars. It is toxic and kills the wrong cancer cells. It does not kill the regenerative cancer cells, which is why the cancer often comes back after chemo. It destroys the immune system when you need it the most. All it does is make money for the cancer industry. There are a lot of non-toxic treatments, he needs to do his research and not rush into chemo. I am a cancer survivor only by avoiding chemo. Look at Greta Waitz and Seve Ballesteros. They both were professional athletes and both had chemo. Chemo kills even professional athletes. My book is The Cancer Odyssey at amazon.com. Another good resource is Cancer-Free by Bill Henderson. Also, www.cancer-tutor.com. Start reading--it may save Gary's life."
Gary Carter, predictably, died on February 17th. When will the killing stop?
