Hugo Chavez + Chemotherapy

In an AP article, it is reported that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will return to Cuba to begin a new phase of cancer treatment that will include chemotherapy. Surgery removed a pelvic mass.

Chavez is confident that he will recover, but acknowledges that it will be a long road to recovery.
He tells his supporters: "We will live!" and says that he is under strict doctors' orders. Reportedly, he has taken to reading Nietzsche.

Well, if he is turning himself over to chemo, his life is most probably limited, unless he had testicular cancer, as we know that chemo is ineffective for most cancers. The will to live cannot prevail over the toxicity and the collateral damage of chemo. Nietzsche? "What does not destroy me, makes me stronger"? Chemo destroys. What does destroy me, just makes me dead.
