An Unholy Alliance

Cancer Treatment Centers and Big Business:
"Founded in 1884 as the New York Cancer Hospital by a group that included John J. Astor and his wife, Charlotte, the original building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan began its move to its present location on York Avenue in 1936 when John D. Rockefeller, Jr. donated the land upon which, in 1939, Memorial Hospital was constructed. Between 1970 and 1973, a new Memorial Hospital was constructed and this building stands on the site today.

In the 1940s, two former General Motors executives, Alfred P. Sloan and Charles F. Kettering, joined forces to establish the Sloan-Kettering Institute (SKI). SKI has since become one of the nation's premier biomedical research institutions." (Sloan-Kettering website, 1/4/10).

The FDA and Big Pharma:
The article "The Dirty Little Secret between the FDA and the Drug Industry" (http://www.communicationagents.com/chris/2004/08/26/the_dirty_
little_secret_between_the_fda_and_drug_industry.htm) references the relationship between the FDA and the very industry that it is charged with overseeing. Very often, FDA officials find a soft landing spot in a pharmaceutical company after retirement from the FDA. Big Pharma, in a close alliance with the FDA, has developed a virtual monopoly on the cancer business. It is a business. Any alternative natural treatments which are beneficial to people are suppressed by the FDA. Only chemical substances can be patented; natural substances cannot be patented. The bottom line profits from the sale of chemotherapy drugs; the cost of research and development and of course, the profit margin, is factored into the cost of the drugs. Natural substances do not generate the billions of dollars that chemical substances do. Natural substances are viewed as a threat because they are comparatively cheap, they actually work, and so they are systematically discredited.

Big Pharma and The American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute:
The American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute are embedded institutions with the goal of self-perpetuation. The interest is in getting the public to believe that the cure is right around the corner, thereby getting the public to make donations, much of which goes to the pharmaceutical companies to continue the R&D for newer and more profitable chemical solutions.

Big Pharma and the Media
:
Can you watch TV without being bombarded by advertisments for drugs?

Big Pharma and the Medical Profession: Oncologists receive incentives from every patient they sign up for chemo.

Big Pharma and Medical Schools: Pharmaceutical companies provide funding to medical schools and influence the curriculum in terms of the "standard of care" for cancer treatment.

Any alternative treatment practitioners are shut down by the FDA; it is literally against the law to find a real cure that does not involve toxic chemicals.

The unholy alliance of Big Pharma, the FDA, the fund-raising societies, the government research agency, the medical institutions, and big business: did the American public EVER have a chance? This group is NOT trying to save mankind from disease. This is NOT altruism; this is greed. Pure and simple.

With a diagnosis of cancer, the immediate knee-jerk reaction is to go into the medical institution established by big business and sign up for chemotherapy.
And when you walk into a treatment facility, you are a potential $100,000 sale. For that money, will you walk out healthy? Alive? What does the $100,000 buy you? Certainly no guarantees.

"In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act." (George Orwell). Do not believe what you are told without first questioning and researching. These are the worst kind of drug dealers. This is YOUR life. Take it into your own hands. Just say no to chemo.
